The 1st place winner in the Owner and Dog Combo category was this entry “Firefighters and a Fire Plug,” featuring dogs Christina and Cassandra.
Taking 1st place in the Funniest category was Falkor as Baby.
Placing 2nd in the Owner and Dog Combo were dog Annie and owner Chloe as “Flapper Girls.”
Harry Potter and “three-headed”dog Fluffy placed third in the Owner and Dog combo.
Marley the Rock Climber took 2nd in the Most Original category.
Nash as a Smore won 3rd place in Most Original.
Taking 4th in Most Original was Peanut, dressed as the Off Leash Area Edmonds mascot.
Ryder as Superman took 2nd in the Funniest category.
Coco as Teddy Bear placed 3rd in the Funniest.
Dog Kaia appeared as a bee.
Bailey entered as a spider.
Willoughby was a Bat Dog.
A Goldendoodle costumed as a Harlem Globetrotter. A chocolate lab dressed as a S’more. A three-headed dog with his Harry Potter master. Dogs and their owners were in fine form Saturday afternoon at the annual Halloween Howl costume contest sponsored by Off Leash Area Edmonds (OLAE).
The event included vendor booths and a silent auction featuring items for both humans and pets. Proceeds benefitted OLEA, the volunteer organization that maintains the off-leash dog park next to Marina Beach Park.
Thank you Theresa for always covering this fun family event! A good time was had by all and many more costumes were running around in the afternoon and didn’t make it to judging! So thank you dog community for participating!
