Friends of the Edmonds Library to meet Oct. 25; book contest deadline Oct. 27

friends of edmonds library logoTwo reminders from the Friends of the Edmonds Library: First, you’re invited to the Friends’ annual October meeting on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m., with a presentation from Kelley McConaughy, registrar of the Cascadia Art Museum.

Second, the deadline is Saturday, Oct. 27 for the Friends of the Edmonds Library annual book recommendation drive, with raffle prizes that include Kindle tablets, Kindle readers, and Beats headphones. To enter, submit a book recommendation of 200-400 words to the online form at bit.ly/edmondsraffle by Oct. 27. Reviews submitted may be posted on the Edmonds Library social media accounts and MyEdmondsNews.com, to help guide other readers’ book choices. Learn more in our earlier story.

During the Oct. 25 Friends meeting, you’ll learn from Kelly McConaughy about how the Cacadia Art Museum came to be, and its mission and place in the community, as well as a preview of upcoming exhibits. The meeting is at the Library Plaza Room, 650 Main St., upper level.
