No injuries in downtown Edmonds condo fire Sunday

South County Fire and Rescue crews extinguished a blaze in the Carmel Condominiums at 655 Main St. in downtown Edmonds Sunday evening. There were no injuries and the fire was contained to a single second-story unit.

The fire was called in at 6:10 p.m., said South County Fire spokeswoman Leslie Hynes. The affected unit was occupied by one person, who was displaced, Hynes said. The unit below the fire-damaged unit may have also suffered water damage, she said.
