I understand the possibility that Ms. Fairbanks is needing to support herself in this way, but it’s a shame that not all can attend.
John and Buck: As a former event planner, I can tell you that special events like this are often lucky to just break even. Here you have a licensed mental health professional (they average $150 an hour), with a business based in Seattle, bringing a 90-minute workshop to Edmonds. I read that as possibly reducing barriers- cost and access to mental health services and transportation- for those who live in Edmonds.
30 bucks seems pretty reasonable. 1/2 tank of gas to learn techniques to keep your mental tank full… and cookies. 🙂
