The Citizens Housing Advisory Committee will meet on Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Edmonds City Hall Brackett Room (third floor), 121 5th Ave. N. The meeting is open to the public.
The committee’s agenda will include discussion of what can be learned from the prior Draft Housing Strategy and ways to engage the public in the future. The discussion is meant to provide advice to the City’s Development Services Department.
According to a city announcement, the Citizens Housing Advisory Committee “is comprised of all Edmonds residents, each with different perspective on housing, but all rooted in a long-time understanding of the community. Members have lived in Edmonds between four and 60 years.”
Opportunities for additional groups and other public involvement are expected to be organized later, the city said.
More information about the citizens committee is posted online at: www.edmondshousingstrategy.org/citizens-housing-advisory-committee/. Notes from the committee’s first meeting, Nov. 8, are also posted there. The Nov. 29 meeting agenda will also be posted when it is ready.
Thanks for the update – so just how as this group selected? And by who?
Who is on this committee. I wish there was a calendar for these committees to post on so they don’t over lap other meetings. That might be helpful for us citizens
