Edmonds-Woodway High School’s Drama Department is presenting Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” Thursday, Nov. 8-Sunday, Nov. 11 at the EWHS Theater.
Directed by Bruce Mindt, the story follows the small town of Grover’s Corners through three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences follow the Webb and Gibb families as their children fall in love, marry and eventually — in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre — die. Thornton Wilder’s final word on how he wanted his play performed is an invaluable addition to the American stage and to the libraries of theatre lovers internationally.
Shows are at 7 p.m. Nov. 8-10 with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 11. Cost is $5 with an ASB card and $7 without.
The Edmonds-Woodway High School Theater is located at 7600 212th St. S.W. in Edmonds.
