Scene in Edmonds: Festive, fresh, local Floretum holiday décor available Friday, Saturday

Edmonds Floretum Garden Club members have been busy this week getting ready to deck your halls with custom arrangements of fresh, aromatic greenery, dried flowers, decorative berries and branches, all from members’ gardens.

Club members are assembling everything from large, festive door wreaths to swags to table toppers, all in a range of prices to fit every budget. Each is hand-made by Floretum volunteers, and every one is different, ensuring a unique and festive touch for your home that’s sure to draw compliments from your holiday guests.

These one-of-a-kind decorations will be on sale starting Friday at the annual Holiday Flaire Boutique located in the Art Works at 2nd and Dayton. Hours are noon-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If past experience is any indicator, they’ll go fast so be there early for the best selection.

Proceeds stay right in the community, supporting the Floretum Scholarship Fund, club-sponsored workshops on planting, gardening and nature, and the ongoing work of the club.

Organized in 1922, the Floretum Club remains a premier force in beautifying Edmonds through public plantings, sponsoring education workshops, and providing an annual scholarship for horticulture students. Learn more about the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club at their website.

  1. I’m guessing you mean the sale is at ArtWorks, which is at 2nd and Dayton, not ARTspot, which is on Main Street. 🙂
