Chase Lake Community School recently received a $2,400 donation from the Christmas concert sponsored by St. Alban’s Episcopal Church last December.

Rev. Greg Peters and parishioner Maryellen Young from St. Alban’s presented the check to Chase Lake Principal Sean Silver and Vonya King-Norton, the school’s family support coordinator.

In addition, the church donated 248 food items to the school’s back-pack program and $1,175 in $25 gift cards to Fred Meyer and WinCo Foods grocery stores to help families in need.

St. Alban’s joins other area churches in supporting the Chase Lake Safety Net, which provides families with immediate emergency help for basic needs (food, clothing, transportation) as well as family advocacy and help connecting with community providers.   The program also ensures that students have a safe and stable environment tso they can focus on their education.

To support the Safety Net Program, contact Vonya King-Norton at 425-431-2330, or via email: king-nortonv@edmonds.wednet.edu
