City of Edmonds offering winter and spring Discovery Program day camps

Registration is now open for the following City of Edmonds-sponsored day camps for non-school days. All classes are taught by Discovery Programs staff. To learn more and register, visit reczone.org.

Monday, Jan. 28      
10-11 a.m.

Dinosaurs & Raptors Non-school Day Camp

For ages 6-12. Take yourself back in time to when giant dinosaurs roamed the earth. Learn how today’s birds descended from the dinosaurs and how these raptors evolved to be successful in their habitats through crafts and games. Create your own fossil and take a walk to a local park to find signs of raptors. Course #7155.

Tuesday, Feb. 19 
10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Salmon and Stream Critters Non-School Day Camp

For ages 6-12. Come and learn the life stages of salmon through crafts and games. Find out what lives beside salmon in their natal streams and how they depend on each other for survival. Create your own salmon life cycle craft and take a walk to a local park to look at salmon habitat and possibly see them! Course #7159.

Monday-Friday April 1-5     
10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Discovery Days Spring Break Camp

For ages 6-12. Discover what the earth is made of and how our environments have formed around it from our forests to the ocean and everything in between. Join us as we explore these environments through games, crafts, and hands on investigation. Walk to a local park to investigate a different ecosystem each day with a Ranger Naturalist. Course #7160.
