The 7th annual Kidstock!, a free arts celebration for children and families, is set for Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.
The event will run from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and features musical performances, theatre, arts education workshops and activities for kids throughout the ECA campus. Last year, over 2,500 people of all ages attended this community event. While there is no admission charge for Kidstock!, donations to ECA are highly encouraged and help make this event accessible to everyone in the community.
The Kidstock! 2019 Main Stage will feature Grammy-nominated band Recess Monkey; Alchemy Tap Project, a performance company for rising tap dancers; the acrobatic UMO Ensemble, presenting a series of vignettes called BOX SET; Ballet Folklórico de Tacoma; and Alex Zerbe, who was voted Seattle’s Funniest Physical Comedian.
Additional Kidstock! 2019 programs will include an intergenerational hip-hop workshop with Silver Kite Community Arts, a sensory-friendly production of theater simple’s Owl & Pussycat, bouncy houses and more! Pre-register online or call the ECA Box Office at 425-275-9595. Walk-ups are welcome. A full event schedule is available at www.ec4arts.org.
Kidstock! 2019 is made possible with the generous support of the Hazel Miller Foundation, King’s Schools, Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, Edmonds Arts Commission, Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club, Goldman Sachs and Barclay Shelton Dance Centre.
