Edmonds man hopes to find vehicle involved in hit-and-run

The car pieces left behind after the hit-and-run Sunday night.

An Edmonds man is hoping to track down a vehicle that struck his parked SUV on 74th Avenue West in the Lake Ballinger neighborhood Sunday night, then left the scene.

The incident occurred about 6 p.m. Sunday. The SUV owner went outside immediately after the incident occurred, but the driver had already taken off. The collision badly damaged the left-rear quarter panel of the victim’s vehicle.

The fleeing driver left behind the entire right front bumper and wheel panel as pictured. (The two pieces are being held together for the photo.)

While the incident was witnessed by a man walking his dog, no one obtained a license plate number.

The offending vehicle is described as blue/grey and could be a Subaru. It is missing its right front body and running/fog light.

If you know anything, call Edmonds police at the non-emergency number — 425-407-3999 — and reference case #192281.
