Edmonds police K-9 units were called to investigate reports of three separate home burglaries in the Five Corners/Chase Lake neighborhoods in the span of about an hour Tuesday night.
Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley said the burglaries were reported at 6:42 p.m. in the 21500 block of 84th Avenue West, at 7:12 p.m. in the 21500 block of 81st Avenue West and at 7:45 p.m. in the 21800 block of 76th Avenue West.
No suspects were found during the K-9 tracks, and it’s unclear yet whether the incidents are related and what exactly was taken. Detectives are continuing their investigation, Hawley said.
Police advise that homeowners always make sure all doors and windows are locked (putting sticks in the window sliders is also a good idea) and also ensure that the home’s garage door is secured (treat it like it’s an exterior door).
Hawley also suggested residents may want to install motion sensor lights or security camera systems, which can notify you immediately if someone is trying to enter your home.
