Warriors basketball roundup: Boys beat Shorecrest, girls lose to Scots

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors and the Shorecrest Scots split a pair of basketball contests on Tuesday, with the home squads capturing the victories.

At Edmonds-Woodway High School, the Warriors’ boys team held off the slow-starting Scots 61-53. Nuel Bol led E-W with 17 points and Elijah Thomas added 11 points in the win.

At Shorecrest High School, the Lady Warriors couldn’t keep pace with the No. 7-ranked 3A team in the WIAA state RPI rankings as the Lady Scots picked up the 61-55 triumph. Adrienne Poling scored 23 points for E-W but it wouldn’t be enough to avoid the loss.
