Art Walk Edmonds invites you to ring in 2019 with a stroll through 15 stops in downtown Edmonds this Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5-8 p.m.
AWE organizers recommend starting your Art Walk at the bottom of the hill at Salish Crossing, with plenty of parking. That’s where you’ll find the featured art show at Stranded by the Sea (176 Sunset Ave.). Multimedia artist Mary Heuther paints in watercolor, tempera and acrylic, as well as sculpts in clay, wire and paper. Go check out her many talents!
While at Salish Crossing, stop in to Cascadia Art Museum (190 Sunset Ave.) who will be hosting new exhibits featuring Northwest impressionism, portraiture and sculpture. Then make your way up Main Street, stopping at Edmonds Realty (111 Main St.), where you can marvel at the colorful dripped paint art of Whitney LaRene.
A brand new show is scheduled to open at ZINC | edmonds (102 3rd Ave. S.) — Sofia Arnold’s “Fever Dreams.” Then enjoy vibrant nature photographs from Karen Ulvestad and Kyhardhan Ulvestad-LaReve at Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 5th Ave. S. After that, meet mystery writer Tracy Weber at Edmonds Bookshop, 111 5th Ave. S.
If you want to try your hand as an artist, Binky Bergsman will demonstrate cold wax painting at ARTspot (408 Main St.) and Joan Archer will demo watercolors at Aria Studio Gallery, 535 Main St.
