Boys swim: Warriors win 3A boys District 1 team title

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors boys swim team won the District 1 3A Boys Swimming Tournament team title Friday, scoring 435 points — 34 points better than runner-up Shorecrest.

The Shorecrest Scots had captured the District 1 3A team title five years in a row before Friday’s victory by the Warriors.

The district meet had been scheduled for a two-day affair at the Snohomish Aquatic Center, but was shortened to one day due to the weather forecast of heavy snow over the weekend.
