City of Edmonds maps for snow removal and anti-ice applications

As cold weather continues to linger and more snow is in the forecast in the next week, citizens may be wondering how the City of Edmonds prioritizes snow removal and street de-icing. We’ve posted these maps above as a reminder.

According to the city, anti-icing is applied to roadways just ahead of a freeze in an effort to keep ice from building up on the pavement. Roads are then maintained after the snowfall to remove snow, apply sand and close unpassable road sections.

If you have a question about the condition of your road during weekday hours, contact the Public Works Department at 425-771-0235. For after-hours emergencies, call 911. The operator will dispatch a utility crew member as required.
