Edmonds scenic: Sunset between trains

Photographer Bill Anderson captured the setting sun between two trains on the Edmonds waterfront Wednesday. The one on the left is the Empire Builder on its way to Chicago after picking up passengers at the station in Edmonds. The train on the right is an empty coal train returning to coal mines in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming after unloading in Canada for shipment overseas.
  1. You’ve got a GREAT eye, and just the thought of taking a picture that way is brilliant. You must be out every day to get so many pics into the Edmonds News.

    1. It was touch and go for a few minutes as to whether or not the sun would set before the Empire Builder arrived. I am retired and local photography has become my hobby.
