Edmonds police are asking for the public’s help with security camera footage that could help identify a suspect or suspects involved in a series of burglaries or attempted burglaries in the Chase Lake/Five Corners area Wednesday night, Feb. 20.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley, police were called to the neighborhood between 6-7 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of break-ins or attempts in the following areas:
8200 block 218 Street Southwest
21800 block 84th Avenue West
8300 block 218 Street Southwest
8500 block 218th Street Southwest
Police set up a containment area so they could conduct a K9 track with a police dog and officer, but didn’t find a suspect, Hawley said. The cases appear to be similar to those neighborhood incidents that occurred in January, he added
“We are looking for anyone that has cameras that may point to the streets and had captured a suspicious person in that area, before, during or just after that time window (of 6-7 p.m.),” he said.
If you have camera footage or other information that could help, contact Edmonds police via the non-emergency number: 425-407-3999
