The Edmonds Bookshop Saturday hosted a talk and autograph session by memoir author Claire Gebben. She shared her backstory in writing her most recent book, How We Survive Here.

Gebben spoke about how she traced her family stories. The discovery of rare letters in an attic in Germany propelled her on a quest to learn the truth about her ancestors’ lives. This included her taking a hands-on blacksmithing class and a month-long stay in the German Rhineland.
