Snow Angels — animal hospital workers save the day with kitty litter

Dorothy and Phil Sacks of Edmonds always knew the veterinary staff at the Perrinville Animal Hospital was amazing.

The Sacks have been taking their pets there for 14 years and when one of them needed a checkup during the snowy week, they braved the roads. Dorothy said they were not concerned, because their vehicle is four-wheel drive.

However, after leaving the animal hospital’s parking lot, their vehicle began to slide backwards down an incline and became stuck in the snow and ice. It was then that three employees of the animal hospital came out with shovels and kitty litter to help the Sacks drive out of the snow.

“I always knew everyone there was terrific,” Dorothy said. “But this was above and beyond the call of duty.”
