City issues call for youth digital media art submissions

The City of Edmonds Arts Commission has announced a new student art exhibit opportunity for its McDevitt Youth Art Display Case in the Frances Anderson Center. Through a generous donation by the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, the EAC has obtained equipment for the purpose of displaying digital art.

The first exhibit, “The Interface Between Art and Technology” is June through September. This inaugural show will display the work of several students from Edmonds area schools. Eligible applicants are 14-20 years of age. Youth working in media and digital art, including animation, video, photography, game design, and web design are encouraged to apply.

Application deadline is April 30. For submission information and instructions, go to the EAC Opportunities web page at, or request a copy by calling 425-771-0228 or emailing [email protected].
