Edmonds-Woodway High School’s dance team saw success during the 2019 Dance/Drill State Championships at the Yakima Valley SunDome last weekend.
Competing in 3A Military and 3A Pom, the team placed 3rd in Military and 4th in Pom, said first-year head coach Katt Lewis. In both routines, the Warriors also earned their highest scores of the season, she added.
Edmonds-Woodway took 1st place in the 3A Military category in the District 1 competition March 2.
“With this being my first year as head coach, it has been a whirlwind of a season and I am so proud to be a part of their journey — they never cease to amaze me,” Lewis said. “This group of girls understands what dedication and determination can do. There hasn’t been a challenge too big or small that they don’t take on at full speed.”
