The Meadowdale Mavericks picked up an important road victory on Thursday, defeated the Snohomish Panthers 4-3 at Snohomish High School.

The Mavs pushed across a game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning, then held on to earn the triumph.

Kate Houghton pitched the complete-game five-hitter; the junior struck out 17 Panthers for the mound victory.

The Mavs girls golf team squeaked out a nine-stroke victory over the Everett Seagulls at the Lynnwood Golf Course.
