Pedestrian struck on Highway 99 Monday night has died

Edmonds police said Tuesday that the pedestrian struck by a vehicle Monday night while attempting to cross Highway 99 at 236th Street Southwest has died.

The 44-year-old Edmonds man was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he died.

He was struck by a vehicle headed northbound on Highway 99. The vehicle’s driver remained at the scene, and there was no indication of DUI, police said. The road was closed for several hours while police investigated
