Playing their third game in three days, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors could not keep up with the Shorewood Thunderbirds on Friday, falling 8-0 to the T-Birds in a Wesco League contest at Meridian Field in Shoreline.
E-W could only muster six hits against Shorewood pitchers Bryce Lindberg and Kenji Miller; Lindberg was credited with the mound victory.
The Warriors begin a two-game series with the Meadowdale Mavericks on Tuesday, April 16; first pitch at Edmonds-Woodway High School is slated for 4 p.m. Game two of the series is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, at Meadowdale High School.
In other Edmonds-Woodway sports on Friday, the Warriors’ girls tennis team shut out the Archbishop Murphy Lady Wildcats 7-0 at Archbishop Murphy High School. The Wildcats have yet to post a team victory this season at 0-8.
