St. Alban’s announces Holy Week Services

Maundy Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m.

Maundy Thursday begins with an Agape Potluck Dinner with an Eastern Mediterranean theme. Baked chicken will be provided, with Potluck salads, side dishes, breads, and desserts. Please come whether you are able to contribute to the supper or not. After the meal and Worship Service in the Parish Hall incorporating hymns, readings, prayers, Eucharist, and footwashing, we’ll move into the sanctuary to remember Gethsemane and strip the altar.

Good Friday Worship, April 19 

– At noon & 7 p.m. Good Friday worship services.

Between noon and 7 p.m. Experience meditating on the Stations of the Cross while self-paced walking the Labyrinth.  The 14 stations represent the scriptural and traditional events of Jesus’ journey from condemnation before Pilate to his death on the Cross. There is a booklet “The Way of the Cross” available at the entrance with meditations and prayers for each station.

Holy Saturday Vigil – April 20 at 8 p.m.

The congregation will gather outdoors for a fire lighting, the lighting of the Paschal Candle and will process to the sanctuary for the Lessons and Eucharist.

Easter Sunday – April 21 at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

All are invited to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Between services, gather in the Parish Hall for the annual Easter Brunch. An Easter Egg Hunt will begin about noon.
