Woodway High School’s Class of 1979 is holding its 40th reunion Sept. 13-14, 2019 in Edmonds.
The weekend will start will a no-host gathering at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at Rory’s Bar & Grill, 105 Main St., followed by the reunion itself on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 4th Ave. N.
The ECA building was formerly known as Edmonds Junior High for many in the Woodway class of 1979, notes reunion organizer Nicole Hamilton Welch.
“These old EJH classmates were the last to attend the school before they split the student body and sent half to College Place and half to Madrona for their 9th grade year,” Welch said. “Many students are looking forward to seeing these hallowed halls again, and also many had parents who’d gone here when it was a high school.”
