Scene in Edmonds: Kids get planting for mom’s special day

Children got a chance Saturday to create a gift of flowers for that special mom or grandmother in their lives during the 19th annual Kids Plant for Mom’s Day sponsored by Edmonds in Bloom.

During the event, held each year on Mother’s Day weekend at the Edmonds Museum Garden Market, Edmonds in Bloom volunteers help kids pick their own colorful beach pail, adorn it with stickers, and add a variety of flowering plants for Mom.

Edmonds in Bloom is a non-profit organization dedicated to beautifying the local community and providing horticultural education. Learn more at edmondsinbloom.com.
