Services May 26 for former Stevens Hospital physician Charles Hunter

A celebration of life for retired Stevens Hospital physician Charles “Gordy” Hunter  will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26 at Temple Beth Am, 2632 N.E. 80th St., Seattle.

Dr. Hunter died Saturday May 18, 2019 at age 70.

He was born on May 25, 1948 in Seattle to Clarence Gordon Hunter and Dorothy Hunter. According to his obituary, he was an OB-GYN physician “loved by his family, friends, patients and more and was the sweetest kindest man to everyone he knew and those he didn’t yet know, but came in contact with.”

According to family friend Cyndie Bray, “there is an entire generation here that were probably delivered by Dr. Hunter and his group at Stevens Hospital.”

He is survived by his wife Suzanne Hunter of Woodway, his sister Dianne McNeill, his children John Theodore Hunter (Dana) and Gary Hunter (Amanda), and grandchildren Moses, Ira, Chana, Aaron. Avi, Eitan, Miriam and Raizy.

  1. He delivered my daughter 34 years this August. He was the most gentle understanding doctor I had ever met. May he Rest In Peace.
