Edmonds Museum Summer Market opens Saturday

The Edmonds Historical Museum happily announces the return of the Summer Market. Celebrating its 26th season in downtown Edmonds, your market opens this Saturday, June 15, and will run for the next 16 weeks (except for during Taste Edmonds).

This week, we are welcoming over 125 vendors to our market, all of whom either grow or make the products they sell. For those who make their products, we ask that they purchase what they can from local growers, helping our small family farms thrive.

Last Saturday saw the first cherries and strawberries arrive at the smaller Garden Market, from Collins Family Orchards and Hayton Berry Farm. This week, Sky Harvest and ACMA Orchards join us with their early berry and cherry crops. Returning this season you will also find so many of our favorite vendors such as: Pete’s Perfect Toffee, Snohomish Bakery, Wilson Fish, Sky Valley Family Farm, Frog Song Farm, Alvarez Organic Farm, JonBoy Caramels, Twisted Treasures, Pop’s Kettle Corn, and so many more!

Wondering what veggies you will find this week? Neil, from Frog Song Farm, plans to bring plenty of shell (English) peas, sugar snap peas, shallots, onions, salad greens, radishes and possibly some potatoes. From Alvarez you will find peas, but also fresh asparagus and of course peanuts!

New to the market this season, check out Doll House Baked Goods, who will be bringing plenty of freshly baked scones, cookies, carrot cake, and other sweet surprises! Also welcome Simpatico Sauces, locally-sourced sauces and marinades, sweet and spicy, and certified organic! Mayco Coffee arrived for the Garden Market, and will return for the Summer Market with his freshly roasted coffee beans. Stop by for a taste, and take home a pound.

Finally, we have moved some of our food vendors off the Plaza at 5th and Bell, and moved them down 5th Avenue a bit. You will now find Falafel Salam and Los Chilangos behind Drummin’ Up Wontons in their food trucks. If pizza is more your style, you will find Vespucci Pizza down by the fountain on 5th as well.

So, come on down to the market and spend the morning or the day with us! We are open from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. Located on Bell Street between 5th and 6th Avenues North and on 5th Avenue North between Main and Bell Streets. If you are interested in becoming part of our volunteer crew who brings this event to downtown Edmonds every week, stop by the Information Booth by the Museum and find out how.

  1. Beautiful morning at the farmers market. Strawberries, flowers, baked goods, breakfast sausages. Beautiful accordion music by an immigrant from Ukraine playing in the QFC parking lot. He is playing to earn money for his motel room and family. Very nice gentleman. Had to get home before ignorant people demonstrate for President Trump impeachment.
