“Budgeting is a Team Sport” is the theme as the Edmonds City Council holds a five-hour retreat this Friday, July 12, in the Brackett Room, 3rd floor of Edmonds City Hall, 121 5th Ave. N.
The retreat, which will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., will be facilitated by consultant Mike Bailey, former City of Redmonds finance director. It is open to the public.
The agenda includes a discussion of budget basics – roles and responsibilities; a discussion of legislative and administration roles for a successful budget outcome; a review of the council’s 2018 strategic planning/budget efforts; a group discussion of successes/challenges from the past budget process; and prioritization of budget policy goals.
