Thursday: Edmonds Police Foundation open house

The Edmonds Police Department and Edmonds Police Foundation are holding their annual open house on Thursday, July 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

The free event will be at the Edmonds Police Station and Public Safety Building parking lot located at 250 5th Ave. N., Edmonds, and will include K-9 demonstrations, tours of the police department, a children’s coloring contest and ice cream courtesy of Fairwinds Brighton Court.

In addition, there will be fire/rescue teams and vehicles from South County Fire, Support 7 and Wally’s Towing; as well as displays of Edmonds police equipment including police vehicles, motorcycles and parking enforcement.

This year the event will also include a ceremony remembering Police Foundation President and retired Edmonds police officer Bill Nelson, who died June 21 after a short battle with cancer.
