  1. I once lost my cat. She was an indoor kitty and got out. No matter how I called and searched I couldn’t find her. I heard a humane trap was the best thing. PAWS can loan you one or the Community Cats Coalition. They are FREE! It’s a very safe trap. Most importantly, cats respond to smell. I took a t-shirt from the bottom of my hamper, that smelled like me and tore it into strips. I placed the strips of cloth every few feet in both directions leading to the teap. The next morning I went down to check the trap and there my kitty was! I was so overjoyed. Don’t be fooled by paying sites to do amber alerts. I did that and it was a waste. Do contact Animal Control and file a report though. This pdf page has really good info and brought home my kitty: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.kingstreetcats.org/info/file%3Ffile%3D21811.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiOhaii9dPjAhUVHTQIHe3aC74QFjATegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw0alTI3N100yTgWo8kSBOEA
