Edmonds restaurateur Shubert Ho on Thursday presented a check for $3,000 to the South County Firefighters Foundation, the result of his 4th of July fundraising effort.

Ho, co-owner and executive chef of Edmonds-based Feedme Hospitality and Restaurant Group, was inspired to create the fundraiser following a fire earlier this year near his Five Corners restaurant Bar Dojo.

Ho, who also served as grand marshal for this year’s Edmonds Kind of 4th of July parade, sold apparel — t-shirts, tank tops and hats — for this year’s Fourth of July celebration, with all profits going toward the foundation.

“We sold almost 250 pieces of apparel averaging $10 profit each,” Ho said. Feedme Hospitality donated an additional $500 to make the check amount an even $3,000, he said.
