Election notes: Candidate forums coming up

With Labor Day in the rear view mirror and the November general election just around the corner, be sure to mark the upcoming candidate forums on your calendar:

Sunday, Sept. 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m. A candidate meet and greet for Edmonds City Council and mayoral, school board and judicial hopefuls. Sponsored by the Edmonds Neighborhood Action Coalition in partnership with the Sierra Club and Indivisible Edmonds. Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 4th Ave. N.

Thursday, Oct. 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Alliance for Citizens of Edmonds mayor and city council candidate forum in the Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex (250 5th Ave. N., Edmonds)

Monday, Oct. 7, 7-9 p.m. Edmonds Chamber of Commerce candidate forum  for those running for Edmonds mayor and city council and school board, in the Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex (250 5th Ave. N., Edmonds). Doors open at 6 p.m. for the public to mingle with candidates and enjoy refreshments prior to the event.

Other news of note:

Nancy Katims, who is running for Edmonds School Board of Directors Position 5, announced that she has received the endorsement of the Sierra Club.
