Faith Community Church to install new lead pastor Sept. 29

Andrew Edmonds, left — shown with son Nathanael, wife Jennifer and daughter Abigail — will be installed Sunday as Faith Community Church’s new lead pastor.

Faith Community Church will install Andrew Edmonds as its new lead pastor during the 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 service.

The church is located at 10220 238th St. S.W. in Edmonds.

Edmonds has served as the church’s pastor of family ministries since January 2015.  He and his wife, Jennifer, have also worked for the Edmonds School District. Prior to serving in the U.S., Andrew and his family spent a year in Guinea and eight years in Panama, where both of  their children — Nathanael and Abigail –were born.

Edmonds has degrees from Point Loma University in San Diego and Fuller Theological Seminary in Seattle. He has also done extensive international travel with Breakthrough Partners, training local leaders in children’s ministries.

The community is invited to attend the installation service and join the congregation for refreshments following the service.

Edmonds replaces long-time Faith Community Church Pastor Phil Assink, who said he is doing some part-time, church-related work and also assisting in the care of his new grandson.
