Day two of Edmonds’ first-ever Oktoberfest started with a 5K run that drew about 100 participants, followed by a pet parade on Main Street and a pet costume contest.
Families gathered for a range of free kids’ activities, from bouncy houses to building activities at the Home Depot booth.
Organizers said they were pleased with the turnout for the inaugural event, which serves as a fundraiser for two good works: Washington Kids in Transition and an inclusive playground planned for the new Edmonds Civic Field Park.
