Women are gathering for a unique urban day retreat experience on Friday, October 25th at Artworks in downtown Edmonds. The Release™ retreats bring together therapeutic art making with professionally facilitated discussion, personal journal writing, mindfulness and guided meditation.
Edmonds-based Psychotherapist Peggy Farah, LMHC designed the program to be a mix of playful and reflective where women can connect and create., Farah Is joined by Art Therapist Jaime Robbins, LMFT ATR and together they combine their passions for therapeutic art and mindfulness meditation to offer women in our area a truly transformative experience. “I want to create a place where women can let go, reflect on where they are at in their life, release what is no longer serving them, tap into their creative side and connect with a community of likeminded women”.
This experience brings together a group of women at all ages and stages of life and a range of experience in both art and meditation. “It is about honoring the process not so much the product” says Farah. “There are universal themes that touch all of us as women, no matter how different our lives are. Release™️ gives women at every age and stage some much needed self-care and a chance to push pause on their busy life. I like to think of it as a much needed ‘spa day’ for the soul” says Farah.
One past participant commented; “The day met needs I didn’t even realize I had. I relaxed with the meditations, connected with other women, got creative, and even ended up exchanging contact info with a new friend.”
There are still spots available for Friday. The retreat runs from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and costs $125 (sliding scale available for those that require that). For more information call Peggy at 425-420-8087 or to register go to www.deepercravings.com/release.
