Dr. Dennis Stolzenburg: Long-time Lynnwood dentist, avid outdoorsman

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Dr. Dennis Stolzenburg, beloved husband, father, friend, and dentist, passed away at the age of 72. Denny was born in Shickley, NE to Everett and Ferne (Trapp) Stolzenburg. Denny served in the Air Force and graduated from the University of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska Dental School. He practiced dentistry for 35 years in Lynnwood, Wash.

Denny is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lierley) and their children, Chris Bunger and his wife Hope Bourne, and Elyse Creelman and her husband Ben Creelman; by his first wife Ann Wood, and their daughters, Sara Vallas and her husband Andrew Vallas, and Rebecca Searfus and her husband Matthew Searfus; and by his siblings, Dave Stolzenburg and Dorothy Sue Miller. His six grandchildren, Stuart, James, Graham, Dennis, Roan, and Dain, will have great memories of him.

Denny will always be remembered as an avid outdoorsman. Over the course of his many adventures, he developed close friendships and memories that he treasured. Donations in memory of Denny can be made to the Methow Conservancy (methowconservancy.org) or Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds (PO Box 148, Edmonds, WA 98020).
