Help for Seniors forums in Lynnwood, Shoreline this week

A reminder of two free Help for Seniors forums this week — one in Lynnwood and one in Shoreline.

The first is set for 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W.  The second is Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Shoreline Library, 345 N.E. 175th St., with registration starting at 10:45 a.m.

These seminars are aimed at helping seniors and their adult family members address aging-related legal, health care and housing questions.

Those presenting include:
– an elder law attorney who will discuss ways to ensure that you have taken all your legal steps to preserve your independence.
– a home care advisor who will talk about how to stay in your home with assistance.
– a senior housing referral specialist who will outline options and costs for assisted living.
– a senior real estate specialist and licensed broker who describes the steps to downsizing, marketing and selling seniors’ homes.
