After going scoreless in their past five matches, the Meadowdale Mavericks got a goal in their match against the Arlington Eagles on Tuesday; unfortunately for the Mavs, one goal would not be enough against the Eagles.
Arlington flew past the Mavericks 8-1 in a Wesco League girls soccer contest played at Arlington High School. The Eagles have averaged 4.2 goals per match during their 10 contests this year; Meadowdale’s goal on Tuesday gave the team a total of five in their 10 matches so far this season.
In other Meadowdale sports Tuesday, the Mavs’ boys tennis team defeated the visiting Marysville-Getchell Chargers 4-0 in a match ended early because of rain.
