Only a few days left to vote in most important election this season

If you haven’t made your choice in the Edmonds Annual Scarecrow Festival, now is the time. The cutoff date is this Saturday, Nov. 2, so there’s not a moment to lose.

Voting is easy. Just go to the Edmonds Scarecrow Festival voting page, where you’ll find photos and descriptions of  this year’s entries. A simple mouse click is all it takes to make your choice for the best scarecrow in each of the six categories: Government/Civic Group/Artist/Schools; Financial/Insurance/Real Estate; Food and Beverage Providers; Service Providers; Retail Business; and of course Residential.

Winners in all categories will be revealed at the annual Scarecrow Festival
Reception, so mark your calendars for 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 for an
evening of food, fun and festivities at the Edmonds Historical Museum, 118
5th Ave. N.  In addition to the winners in the six categories, honors will be bestowed on the three “special recognition” winners: top vote-getter, best scarecrow by a first-time builder and best depiction of Edmonds history.

And finally, the reception will include the much-anticipated drawing for
this year’s Scarecrow Hunt winner. If you haven’t entered yet, you still
have time. Just find the five downtown-area scarecrows sporting special
medallions, check them off on your official Scarecrow Hunt entry form
(available on the website or in person at the business displaying the scarecrow or at the museum), and turn them into the museum. Winners will receive some prizes from local merchants, so don’t delay.
