After trailing by a point at halftime, the Meadowdale Mavericks ran off 22 straight second-half points Friday night to end the Everett Seagulls’ hopes for its first football win of the season.
The Mavericks used the big second half to claim a 29-15 victory over the Seagulls in a 3A Wesco League South Conference game played at Everett’s Memorial Stadium.
Hunter Moen ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third to lead the Mavs to the victory. Moen darted 52 yards for a first-quarter score, ran 9 yards for a third- quarter touchdown and threw a 73-yard bomb while sprinting to his right to teammate Mason Vaughn to light up the scoreboard again in the third.
