Due to the cold weather expected this Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the South Snohomish County Cold Weather Shelter will be opened in a temporary location at Good Shepherd Baptist Church on Thursday, Nov. 28.
Guests will be offered dinner, a mat, blanket and breakfast. The shelter is scheduled to open at 7:15 p.m. and guests are advised to meet at one of the listed transportation locations. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Pick-up locations include:
- Lynnwood City Hall, (19100 44th Ave. W.) at 7 p.m.
- The bus stop next to James Village (formerly Trader Joe’s) at Highway 99 and 196th Street Southwest at 7:05 p.m.
- The Value Village sign on Highway 99 and 172nd Street Southwest at 7:25 p.m.
Transportation leaves for Lynnwood City Hall the next morning at 7 a.m.
Guests are advised to check the shelter’s website for likely openings at Good Shepherd Church on Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30.
