The Edmonds School District will host a financial literacy workshop Tuesday, Nov. 5, to help parents and students plan and pay for college. The free event will be held at the Edmonds School District offices. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. with sessions from 5:30-8 p.m.
Families will learn together:
- How to calculate the total cost of school; sticker price vs. net price.
- To compare post-secondary expenses vs. salary, and calculate the return on investment.
- The basics of applying for aid (FAFSA and WASFA), about loans, and other ways to pay for school.
- How to compare financial aid packages.
