Four teen passengers were injured in a DUI-related vehicle rollover crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 5 near the 196th Street Southwest exit, according to Washington State Patrol.
At 4:45 a.m., state troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover involving a 2010 Honda CRV that left the roadway while taking the 196th Street Southwest exit in Lynnwood. The vehicle struck an embankment and trees before rolling over multiple times and stopping 10 feet from the roadway, the state patrol said.
The driver — a 21-year-old Everett man — was reported to have been driving under the influence and wasn’t injured. Two 18-year-old women and two 16-year-olds — a male from Lynnwood and a female whose residence wasn’t listed– were transported to Providence Hospital. A fifth passenger, a 16-year-old Edmonds boy, wasn’t injured.
None of the passengers was wearing a seatbelt, the state patrol said.
