Edmonds School District invites families to attend LGBTQ+ Event Planning Committee meetings

The Edmonds School District is inviting students, families, and staff to help create more learning opportunities by attending the district’s LGBTQ+ Event Planning Committee meetings.

During the first two meetings the committee will choose a date and time for the event and come up with a list of possible speakers and workshop ideas. During the final two meetings the committee will finalize the event details.

The meetings take place at the Educational Service Center, located at  20420 68th Ave. W. in Lynnwood

Dates and times for the three remaining committee meetings:

  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20
  • 2:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8
  1. Wonderful! If only this sort of thing had been possible when I was in school. It could well have altered years of feeling alone and depressing fears of rejection. I commend the school district. I survived – but so many have not been so fortunate.
