Election 2019: No changes seen in latest Edmonds mayor, city council results

Edmonds mayoral hopeful Mike Nelson maintained his lead over opponent Neil Tibbott in the third day of election results released Thursday afternoon by the Snohomish County Elections Office.

The two current Edmonds city councilmembers are vying to replace two-term Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling, who is not seeking re-election.

Nelson had 5,299 votes while Tibbott had 4,824 in the latest returns.

In the four Edmonds City Council races, there were no surprises in day four of results, as Diane Buckshnis, Vivian Olson, Susan Paine and Laura Johnson maintained leads in their respective races.

The next round of results will be released by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8.

City of Edmonds Mayor results released Nov. 7, 2019:

Mike Nelson 5299 52.17%

Neil Tibbott 4824 47.49%

Write-in 34 0.33%

Total 10157 100.00%
