Friends of the Edmonds Library announces Kindle raffle winners

friends of edmonds library logoThe Friends of the Edmonds Library has announced the winners of its Kindle Raffle, chosen from readers who submitted their favorite books.
The Kindles were donated by Symetra. The Friends also offered thanks to the Edmonds Library staff for their work to make the raffle a success. The winners will receive their Kindles at the 40th anniversary Friends celebration, open to the public, from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 21 at Brigid’s Bottle Shop.
Here are the winners and their recommendations –
Addie Marie Jones,

Skin Deep an Interactive Coloring Book, by Screebee (Addie Marie Jones)
This book encourages all ages and all races to understand and accept diversity in a mild manner. It combines old-school with modern technology for a learn through play experience that helps build self-esteem as well as computer skills (when using the APP).

My Stroke of Insight, by Jill Bolte Taylor
Amazing insight into what happens to the victim of a stroke

Wendy Kliment,
Shedding Our Stars, by Laureen Nussbaum & Karen Kirtley
A great read about a family who survived the Holocaust due to a decision made by German Reichskommissar named Hans CalMeyer, who very quietly saved thousands of Jews from concentration camp from behind his desk.

Oil and Marble, by Stephanie Storey
Well researched historical novel about Leonardo de Vinci and Michealangelo

The winners will receive their Kindles at the family-friendly, public 40th anniversary Friends celebration on 11/21 at Brigids Bottle from 6-8 p.m.
