Thursday, Nov. 14 is the date for the annual Tip a Cop and First Responders fundraiser at Mountlake Terrace’s Red Onion Cafe, to benefit the 11th annual Shop with a Cop event for Edmonds School District students in need.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the restaurant, 21005 44th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace
During the past 10 years, the Cheeseburger Babies Foundation — along with local law enforcement, first responders and the Edmonds School District — have taken more than 1,200 children shopping during the holiday season. Each child visits Santa, receives a gift card, selects a first responder, and walks throughout the store choosing items for themselves or family members.
Law enforcement and first responders will serve as celebrity wait staff with 100% of their tips donated to Shop with a Cop. Red Onion Cafe will donate 20% of all sales back to the event.
This year’s fundraiser, held in partnership with Emerald City Harley Davidson, includes a silent auction, live auction, raffle, a free Seahawk Russell Wilson autographed photo drawing and a parking lot full of first responder vehicles. Auction items include autographed celebrity guitars, autographed sports items and gift baskets.
Businesses or individuals who would like to donate or volunteer can contact Seaun Richards for more information at 425-218-5996.
